The Mission of the Virginia Ballet Academy is to educate its students with quality, intensive instruction in the highly structured and disciplined techniques of the Vaganova method of teaching dance.
VBA strives to develop a refined sensitivity and appreciation for the unique art of classical ballet and its related arts among the students in all levels of the School.
Our goals are to produce student graduates that have:
1. The training and technique necessary to fulfill the demanding artistic needs of today's college dance programs and professional dance companies
2. The skills necessary for a successful career in the ever-evolving world of dance
3. The poise, confidence, experience and culture necessary to become productive and responsible members of society—and aesthetic leaders in our communities
