VBA Ballet Trip to DC: "Don Quixote" Kennedy Center | January 17 — more
VBA and UDT dancers perform with the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra in "Holiday Pops", 2007
September marks Virginia Ballet Academy's Second Dance Season. VBA will provide students with the highest quality education in classical ballet, pointe, partnering, variation, modern, jazz and tap for students three years and older. As many of you know, our teaching technique is based on the renowned Russian Vaganova method; which is careful and attentive with great attention to the smallest details making dancing beautiful but also safe for our dancers. We will determine the proper class level for each dancer and suggest the number of classes to attend; guiding our students and their families to tailor a program to the dancer’s needs and aspirations.
VBA wants to ensure that each student is receiving the appropriate level of training, so we have changed our Class Levels to help us achieve that goal. Please make note of these changes.

UNA Dance Theatre (UDT) is the Virginia Ballet Academy's performance company. UDT provides professional-level performance experience for members of the company. Auditions for UDT are held each year in the fall and again in the winter. In our spring productions, all VBA students will get a chance to perform along side our UDT company members.
Please feel free to stop by and tour the facility and acquaint yourselves with VBA and our two thousand square foot floating dance floor, carefully constructed to professional standards for the long-term health and safety of our students. We think our dancers will feel the difference.
VBA is located just east of the intersection of Route 419 and Apperson Drive in Salem (location). We welcome your questions, and we very much hope to provide your family’s dance instruction.
